• Network Analysis (till 2016)

    Coordinator: Ahmad Naimzada
Interest in network analysis has grown in recent years. Many social, economic and financial systems with large numbers of interacting agents can be conveniently described by a network. In the last decade, new theories have been developed to highlight the topological properties of network architectures, despite their apparent randomness. Network, moreover, once included in a dynamic setting, prove to be convenient mathematical tools in modelling many phenomena.

This programme aims at providing an interdisciplinary approach to the theoretical and empirical analysis of networks.

    Research topics include:

    1. Graph Theory
    2. Network Topology
    3. Agent-Based Modelling
    4. Network and Social Dynamics
    5. Learning in Networks
    6. Organizations and Management Science
